Full rehabilitation / reconstruction of a multi-family existing vacant building (circa 1960 and earlier).
The intervention in the building kept the existing volumetry, exterior walls and number of apartments, whereas the interior was fully rebuilt, including structural reinforcement and all infrastructures.
The requirements set forth by the architectural team were the following: i) to blend the building with the adjacent volumes; ii) to keep existing details, especially at the ground floor level, whose original construction precedes the above floors, having some traces of the “Estado Novo” architecture period; iii) to differentiate the offering from the existing equivalent products, namely regarding floor plans, spatial convenience, ready-to-use type; iv) to guarantee economic rationale according to the target market.
